About Scholarship Fund
C.W. Ministries, Inc., is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit, charitable, Christian Organization. In 2005, we established a scholarship fund called the Simone J. Williams Scholarship fund. This fund is named after the late mother of Reverend Chimene Williams Louis. She loved children so much that she was generous enough to give money out of her pocket to help them. It is a trend for the kids haiti to attend school for the first few years and due to lack of financial capabilities are unable to continue. This trend leads to the miseducation of the nation which in its entirety evolves into an inability to comprehend and ends as the growing phenomenon that is poverty.
Due to inactivity and lack of progression the young people of these poverty stricken areas end up having kids. The inability to support those kids leads to abandonment which increases the number of poor people everyday. Kids are having kids and they are not able to raise those kids, so not only are the parents young poor and uneducated but the kids are poor uneducated and sometimes abandoned. With this scholarship fund CW is attacking this problem at the chest. It begins with the continued education of the youth. We plan on giving hope to these young people. The hope of seeing a future that is less and less dominated by poverty and grief and give the chance to evolve individually as well as a nation. Systematically we want to give to them at a small cost what generally comes free and unappreciated to us.
This is our duty as Christians to hear the plight of the poor and needy so the Lord will hear us when we cry out his name. The impetus for the scholarship fund is to reach deserving and disadvantage children worldwide. For the past 4 years, we had an ongoing scholarship in Haiti and Santo Domingo. Our main focus is to help the children further their education in various cities in Haiti, and/or in Santo Domingo and we are looking expand it to other countries.
